I don't mean this in a negative way at all, but I miss your originals on the piano! Why have you switched to only uke/guitar? Was it a conscious-creative decision? Or have you just been more inspired in that direction lately?
I still play the piano for hoooours every week! Don’t worry!
It’s not a conscious decision that I’ve been writing mostly for the guitar & uke lately. It’s just what’s coming naturally to me nowadays. As with every other kind of art I do, I have phases where certain techniques & tools appeal to me more than others. I’m sure I’ll get back into the groove of the piano in due time.
i love this seemingly new wave of curiosity on the internet.
is it just me, or are people asking (& answering) a lot of questions lately?
i mean, firstly there’s formspring, which everyone & their mother is addicted to. & tumblr now has a question function. & gala darling is doing "curious tuesdays."
it makes me happy that the internet is moving in a good direction moreso than an evil one - it could really go either way.
humans have a natural curiosity about one another, as well as a natural inclination to satisfy that curiosity in others.
it feels good to find things out about people - weird, funny, interesting things - & it feels good to have somebody want to know stuff about you.
i like where this is going.
once there was a city
it was rumoured that it never really slept
it was grey & gritty
full of billboards & secrets left unkept
if you were a monster
you could find a way to softly, subtly hide
& if you were a beauty
it would be a short but fascinating ride
so come inside
once there was a city
full of promise, full of potions, full of blue
you can be a weirdo
but there’s always weirdos much more weird than you
just to put it lightly
there’s a million things to do & ways to be
you may not get famous
but you’ll love it - that’s a solid guarantee
so come & see
make up your mind
& you will find
it’s such a thrill
to move when all the earth stands still
it changes every few months are so, but here are the current standings, in no particular order…
