I am living in the fucking VORTEX today!
Delicious oatmeal for breakfast. Filmed a gratitude video while brushing my teeth. Was offered two different gigs by two people I adore (one of which is a piano show in a theatre setting - BEST EVER). Listened to Abraham on my walk to school. Got along with someone who usually aggravates me. Had a great sociology class about things which interest me. A brief but chills-inducing moment with my...

This is me last year, pretending I’m not a white girl.
I am the most awkward person ever
Him: I saw your poetry video on YouTube!
Me: Thanks!
Him: It was good!
Me: ...Thanks!

I hope this doesn't come across as ignorant, I...
hahaha. This IS an ignorant question (I have gotten it many times, as have all my friends who have similar attractions, & we’ve discussed it in annoyance on several occasions) but I forgive you because you’re self-aware!
Basically, the answer is: I’m bisexual. That means I’m biologically wired to be attracted to both men & women. However, just as some people are...
Date A Girl Who Reads by Rosemarie Urquico
littlemissdorkette:
(In Response to Charles Warnke’s You Should Date An Illiterate Girl.)
Date a girl who reads. Date a girl who spends her money on books instead of clothes. She has problems with closet space because she has too many books. Date a girl who has a list of books she wants to read, who has had a library card since she was twelve.
Find a girl who reads. You’ll know that she does...

straight people don't just talk about their straightness all the time...
are you insecure? is that why it's always on your mind?
i don't mean to be mean and i love your blog....just curious

How to quell an annoying obsession
1. If it’s not unhealthy (physically, emotionally or otherwise), why not just indulge? Let the desire feel GOOD, rather than torturous.
2. Write 100 things about it. 100 thoughts, musings, details. Bore yourself, work the obsession so it loses its appeal.
3. Talk out loud. Pretend to be on the phone with someone who wants to hear ALL about it.
4. Replace it.
5. Distract yourself....

I need to fill up the last few pages of my Moleskine! What should I write about?

I started off my morning by doing a “gathering momentum” journal entry. This is supposed to help focus your energy & raise your vibration, which means, in theory, that it will make the rest of your day AWESOME. I thought this would work alright; I didn’t think it would induce the perfect day, but it did!

RSL Statement of Intent
A girl who practices radical self-love proudly & loudly adores herself. She doesn’t try to downplay it out of fear of being called vain or egocentric; she loves herself & doesn’t care who knows it or what they think.
She buys herself presents - shoes, beautiful notebooks & pens, fancy makeup - because a well-treated, grateful girl is a very happy girl.
The word...
vignettes (a past crush in review)
1. I walk into a blindingly fluorescent-lit classroom & several cute kids are sitting around, including you - eating lunch, chatting softly, trying to get an awkward foot in the door of the close-knit team we will morph into over the coming weeks.
You sit down at the piano & I expect noise, silliness. Instead, what your hands produce is a note-perfect, albeit abridged, rendition of my...
describe your perfect boyfriend.
Very very smart. He probably knows all about things like string theory, Darwinism, & space travel. Nerdy, articulate, & well-versed in popular culture references.
Very very funny in a way that clicks with my sense of humor. We can make each other laugh endlessly.
A fabulous conversationalist.
Kind, sweet, nice, considerate, thoughtful, etc. If he doesn’t treat me with respect,...

Joys & obsessions of the past few weeks
Fresh fruit. Strawberries & blueberries in French vanilla yogurt; pears on their own. (I have been addicted to pears for a few months now - SO GOOD!)
Moleskines. Always. I have my large ruled journal, a large weekly planner, a small daily planner which I use as a gratitude journal, & a blue volant which I’m using to manifest my next relationship. Really kind of crazy! The paper...
Sorry that this is kind of a weird question, and I...
This is a really interesting question because, for many people, figuring out their own answer is the primary journey of their life. I think it’s obviously much better to tackle it as early in life as possible, though!
Here are my top tips, things which helped me when I was in this situation:
1. Start something new. Set some big goals & get to work on them; pick up a new art form;...
Analytical part of my brain: There was a huge windstorm here last night... Everything blew everywhere.
Immature part of my brain: That's what she said!!

Well, the cool thing about the processes is that they can inspire you to make up your own processes. I find manifesting works better when you individualize how you go about doing it.
Here’s what I did, as far as I can remember, to manifest that relationship:
1. I made a list of the qualities I wanted in a boyfriend or girlfriend. As I made the list, I imagined how it would feel to be in...
