My university application essay is about handjobs.
Ryerson’s journalism program asks you to write an essay about a specific piece of journalism that inspired you to want to be a part of the field.
I wrote mine about Grant Stoddard’s article I Did It For Science: Happy Ending, wherein he attempts to get a handie from an Asian masseuse (“for science!”).
The essay ends with something like, “And so it’s thanks to Grant Stoddard and his tireless quest for a professional handjob that I am applying to Ryerson today.”
Hopefully the admissions board has a sense of humor, that’s all I can say.
