does it make me a hypocrite that I'm never okay with rape jokes, but I don't really care about racist/sexist/any other offensive jokes?
AnonymousI don’t think that’s necessarily hypocritical… We all have different things which are our personal “hot button issues.” Mine are rape and homophobia. That doesn’t mean I don’t find racism offensive - it just means I feel a deep personal connection with certain issues and not others, and so the issues that are desperately important to me are the ones that I end up noticing and getting enraged about more often.
